ALWAYS UNLOCKING
Singer/songwriter, producer, and creator TPHR_ is emerging in his own right—drawing from a number of influences including contemporary pop, alternative r&b, and hip-hop to bring the world visceral stories that touch on love, heartbreak, money, and mental health.
With his parents in the military, Christopher Seelbaugh grew up all over the United States, and besides learning to adjust to some place new every 3-5 years, Chris primarily focused on his first love—drawing.
Later, in middle school, he discovered a love for music by way of the guitar, which he began playing in what seemed like just a couple weeks. He eventually began playing in church and in various bands during high school.
In college, spurred on by such influences as Frank Ocean, Mike Posner, and many more, Chris began to immerse himself into songwriting. After pursuing a brief career in freelance web design and marketing, Chris turned his attention back to music, and in 2020 TPHR_ was born.
In just a few months, TPHR_ had again acquired new skills—he learned to record, produce, engineer, and mix his own music and created his first single, “Proof,” (in Garageband) which he is releasing late December, 2020. TPHR_ is currently finishing a number of other singles that he will begin releasing independently on a bi-weekly basis starting in January 2021.
